Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a Senior Specialist in Fund/Client Accounting in Westborough, MA. You’ll conduct accounting services for assigned clients and moderately complex funds, determine NAVs, allocate expenses, and prepare reports.

You will lead complex funds accounting initiatives, review cash and asset reconciliations, and draft client reports. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5–7 years of experience; Big 4 experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• 5-7 years of total work experience preferred.
• Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred.

Job Description

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Conducts accounting services on behalf of assigned clients and moderately complex funds including determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses and preparing reports.
• Performs complex Fund/Client Accounting responsibilities in the areas of driving Service Improvement plans, targeting efficiencies, enhancing processes and specialist review functions.
• Provides guidance and reviews work related to cash and asset reconciliations relating to complex accounts or transactions.

Drafts reports for clients regarding the performance of complex funds and regularly interacts with clients to answer questions and resolve issues regarding fund reports and accounting processes.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• 5-7 years of total work experience preferred.
• Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred.
• No direct reports. Provides guidance to less experienced team members.

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
