Job summary

The Charles Schwab Corporation's Schwab Technology Services is seeking a Senior Specialist Developer to join an Agile team in Omaha, on-site. You will design, develop, and deliver software solutions that scale for millions of trades daily and partner with product and tech teams to meet business objectives while ensuring security and reusability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years software development experience in Java
• 3+ years in business and solution architecture
• Experience with an integrated development environment (IDE) preferably IntelliJ
• Experience with source code repository (e.g. bitbucket, github)
• Experience using AI to aid software development lifecycle
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to think of the big picture
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver solutions as part of an Agile Scrum team
• Support and triage issues and participate in production support to help develop resilient and secure systems
• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders and technical partners to define strategy and scope of software requirements (decompose stories, design features, and prioritize tasks)
• Utilize and develop automated software test tools and frameworks such as test‑driven development to achieve the highest quality in software delivery
