Job summary

Con Edison in New York seeks an on-site Security Technician to evaluate, install, and maintain technical security equipment across company facilities. You will install access control, alarm, CCTV, motion detectors, data comms, and fencing, and keep systems running through preventive maintenance and timely repairs.

Job description

To evaluate, review, propose, and install technical security equipment to safeguard personnel and prevent unauthorized access to critical Company equipment. Equipment includes but is not limited to access control systems, alarm systems, recorded CCTV systems, motion detectors, intrusion detection systems, data communication, and fencing. Provide preventive maintenance and repairs to protective system hardware and software.

To protect the Companys personnel, fiscal, and physical assets using competitive technological security equipment and satisfying all regulatory requirements.

Independently provide on-site technical security system troubleshooting, problem diagnosis and resolution, and general support for the Corporate Security infrastructure installed at all company locations. Requires an understanding of the users business function to manage their technical security projects and meet the users requirements.
