Job summary

Con Edison Co. is seeking an on-site Technical Security Specialist responsible for evaluating, installing, servicing access control, CCTV, alarms, detectors, data comms, and fencing across company locations.

You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs to security hardware and software to safeguard personnel and assets. The role requires understanding user business functions to tailor security projects to meet requirements and ensure regulatory compliance, with independent troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, install, and maintain technical security equipment including access control, alarm, CCTV, motion detectors, intrusion detection systems, data communication, and fencing.
• Provide preventive maintenance and repairs to protective system hardware and software.
• Independently troubleshoot on-site security systems and support Corporate Security infrastructure across locations.

Job description

To evaluate, review, propose, and install technical security equipment to safeguard personnel and prevent unauthorized access to critical Company equipment. Equipment includes but is not limited to access control systems, alarm systems, recorded CCTV systems, motion detectors, intrusion detection systems, data communication, and fencing. Provide preventive maintenance and repairs to protective system hardware and software.

To protect the Companys personnel, fiscal, and physical assets using competitive technological security equipment and satisfying all regulatory requirements.

Independently provide on-site technical security system troubleshooting, problem diagnosis and resolution, and general support for the Corporate Security infrastructure installed at all company locations. Requires an understanding of the users business function to manage their technical security projects and meet the users requirements.
