Job summary

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC is seeking a Special Track Inspector to perform technical inspections of special track work and related components for MTA/NYCT projects. You will verify dimensions, inspect track materials, and review drawings and documentation to support material acceptance decisions.

Five+ years in special track inspections or QA, plus ability to read engineering drawings and familiarity with AWS/ASNT inspection standards, are required. Associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years experience in special track inspections or related QA work.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of AWS and ASNT inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous castings and forgings where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect special track work manufactured to Authority drawings and specifications.
• Verify precise dimensions, clearances and quality requirements.
• Inspect track materials, including nuts, bolts, washers, steel fastener plates, shims, clips, screw spikes, and related components.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications and inspection documentation.
• Identify and document nonconforming materials.
• Prepare inspection reports and support material acceptance decisions.
