Job summary

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC is seeking a Special Track Inspector in New Jersey to perform on-site inspections of track work for public infrastructure projects. You will verify dimensions, clearances, and quality, inspecting nuts, bolts, shims, and related components to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.

Minimum five years in track or QA inspection, with ability to read engineering drawings and a working knowledge of AWS/ASNT inspection techniques.

Qualifications

Minimum five years of experience in special track inspections, quality assurance, or railroad/transit inspection and layout systems.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
Working knowledge of AWS and ASNT inspection techniques.
Knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous castings and forgings, when applicable.

Responsibilities

Inspect special track work manufactured to Authority drawings and specifications.
Verify precise dimensions, clearances, and quality requirements.
Inspect track materials, including nuts, bolts, washers, steel fastener plates, shims, clips, screw spikes, and related components.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection documentation.
Identify and document nonconforming materials.
Prepare inspection reports and support material acceptance decisions.
