Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior security leader to direct SCI and SAP program security operations, including access control, debriefings, and incident response. You will ensure accreditation readiness for SCIFs/SAPFs and translate complex federal requirements into actionable policies for government customers.

Ideal candidates bring TOP SECRET clearance with SCI access, CI polygraph, and the ability to work from a US office three days per week, coordinating with DoD and IC stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Substantial experience leading contractor security for SCI and SAP programs.
  • Direct experience as a CSSO, CPSO, CSPSO, SSO, or comparable customer-designated security official.
  • Understanding of Intelligence Community customers, sponsor relationships, access processes, reciprocity, and escalation channels.
  • Strong working knowledge of NISPOM, ICDs 703, 704, and 705, and related customer guidance.
  • Experience establishing, accrediting, operating, or modifying SCIFs or SAPFs.
  • Ability to coordinate facility, physical security, information security, and technical accreditation requirements.
  • Experience managing government customer relationships.
  • Experience leading security inspections, customer reviews, incident response, corrective actions, and closure of complex compliance findings.
  • Strong judgment under pressure.
  • Active Top Secret eligibility and SCI access.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full-scope polygraph or other customer-required access.
  • Ability to work from a US office three days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead SCI and SAP security operations across the program lifecycle, including access administration, indoctrinations and debriefings, security plans, classification requirements, incident reporting, inspections, and program closeout.
  • Serve as the designated CSSO, CPSO, or equivalent for government customers and classified programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Intelligence Community and DoD customers and stakeholders.
  • Oversee SCIF/SAPF accreditation, operation, modification, and inspection readiness.
  • Translate regulations and contract requirements into policies, procedures, and operating decisions.
  • Coordinate with personnel security, information systems security, facilities, legal, and program teams.
  • Lead self-inspections, security inquiries, corrective actions, and risk escalations.
  • Advise leadership and represent the security function.
  • Mentor security personnel and establish staffing and governance.
  • Enable classified work through risk-informed decisions and elevate noncompliant activity.
  • Utilize approved AI tools to reduce administrative burden and improve visibility.

Job description

  • Lead SCI and SAP security operations across the program lifecycle, including access administration, indoctrinations and debriefings, security plans, classification requirements, incident reporting, inspections, and program closeout
  • Serve as the designated CSSO, CPSO, or equivalent program security official for assigned government customers and classified programs
  • Build and maintain relationships with Intelligence Community and Department of Defense customers and security stakeholders
  • Oversee establishment, accreditation, operation, modification, and inspection readiness of SCIFs and SAPFs
  • Translate government regulations, contract requirements, DD Forms 254, security classification guides, and customer direction into policies, procedures, and operating decisions
  • Coordinate with personnel security, information systems security, classified IT, Facilities, Legal, and program teams
  • Lead self-inspections, security inquiries, corrective actions, customer assessments, and risk escalation
  • Advise Industrial Security leadership and independently represent the security function
  • Mentor and develop special programs security personnel
  • Establish staffing, metrics, governance, and operating rhythms for continued growth
  • Enable classified work through risk-informed decisions and stop or elevate noncompliant activity
  • Use approved AI tools, agents, and automations to reduce administrative burden and improve visibility
Requirements
