Job summary

Marmic Fire & Safety Co. is seeking a Senior Special Hazards Technician to lead advanced installation, maintenance, and servicing of special hazards fire protection systems across critical environments.

You will mentor junior technicians and ensure all work meets safety standards and regulatory requirements. You will lead projects, coordinate with clients, and provide expert troubleshooting while maintaining thorough documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

NICET certification in fire protection is required.
Associate degree in Fire Protection Technology, Engineering, or related field is required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in installation, maintenance, and servicing of special hazards systems.

Responsibilities

Install, test, and maintain special hazards fire suppression systems (clean agent, foam, kitchen) to high safety standards.
Provide expert troubleshooting and diagnose system issues using advanced tools.
Lead and oversee installation and service projects, coordinating with technicians, contractors, and clients.
Train and mentor junior technicians and new hires on installation and troubleshooting.
Ensure compliance with NFPA codes and safety regulations; conduct inspections and audits.
Serve as primary technical contact for clients and manage communications on service requests.
Document all activities and prepare reports on progress and technical issues.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
