Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Senior Special Hazards Systems Technician to lead field installation, programming, testing, and commissioning of complex fire protection and life-safety solutions. You will diagnose issues, upgrade systems, and provide technical guidance to technicians onsite.

Ideal candidates bring deep knowledge of NFPA requirements, releasing systems, and the ability to travel to customer sites while maintaining rigorous documentation and safety practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years installing and servicing fire/special hazards systems.
• Experience with NFPA 72, NFPA 13, NFPA 25, NFPA 2001.
• Ability to travel to customer sites and work at client locations.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, troubleshoot, and commission special hazards systems.
• Perform functional and acceptance testing per drawings and specs.
• Read electrical/fire alarm drawings, risers and sequences of operation.
• Mentor junior technicians and provide field guidance.
• Document tests, repairs and system modifications.
