Job summary

SPCA of Texas in Dallas seeks a Senior Development Officer, Special Events to lead fundraising for Fur Ball, Strut Your Mutt, Home for the Holidays, and Paws Cause.

You will manage sponsor and donor relationships, set annual revenue goals, and collaborate with the Vice President of Development to grow donor pipelines.

The role requires a proven track record and superb communication with executives, volunteers, and partners.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of event fundraising experience with demonstrated success soliciting and closing sponsorships and gifts.
• Has raised money for fundraising events totaling $1M+ in revenue.
• Builds and analyzes fundraising reports to inform strategy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with senior corporate executives and volunteers.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Word, PowerPoint, and Excel are required; Raiser's Edge NXT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of event sponsors and donors across four main fundraising events and own the portfolio's annual revenue and expense budget.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward sponsors, table hosts, underwriters, and donors for each event.
• Design and execute engagement and recognition strategies for sponsors and ensure sponsorship agreements are fulfilled.
• Set goals for visits and solicitations; regularly report donor engagement and fundraising results to inform strategy.
• Develop sponsorship proposals, decks, and impact reports for major supporters.
• Record and maintain donor strategies and actions in Raiser's Edge NXT.
