Job summary

Melmark Carolinas is seeking a Special Education Administrator to lead IEP services using ABA and evidence-based interventions. The Curriculum Coordinator will ensure delivery of IEP services, align with NC standards, and supervise program development with the Special Education Team.

The position requires NC Exceptional Children Teaching License and BCBA at Master's level or eligibility; supervisory and curriculum development experience are valued, with a 7:30am-4pm schedule and year-round terms.

Qualifications

• NC Exceptional Children Teaching License required.
• BCBA certification at Master's level required or eligible.
• Active enrollment in BCBA or NC Teaching license with attainment within 2 years of commencement of employment.
• Ph.D level with ABA and curriculum development experience will be considered.
• Minimum five years’ experience in teaching, curriculum development and supervision in a special education setting.
• One year of administrative experience is required.
• Valid US driver’s license and minimum age 21.

Responsibilities

• Guide assessment and IEP development for all students.
• Ensure adherence to NC Standard Course of Study and testing procedures.
• Provide training to staff on lesson plans and IEP implementation.
• Develop baseline packet prior to new admissions with the immediate team.
• Ensure IEP goals are appropriate, measurable, specific and attainable.
• Write and implement instructional programs and lesson plans within 10 days of the IEP meeting.
• Collaborate with the Special Education Team to ensure all instructional programs are written and implemented.
