Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in a related field; degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred.
• Eight or more years credit experience in commercial banking or finance industry or five+ years with advanced degree.
• Highly professional credit and risk analysis skills.
• Professional presence with effective communication to clients and bank partners.
• Expertise in financial and risk analysis and problem solving.
• Experience managing an advanced commercial client portfolio with complexity.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with bankruptcy law and internal bank applications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for managing a portfolio of highly complex accounts, supporting Senior leadership and Workout Officers.
• Direct client contact with difficult credit relationships.
• Analyze industries and peers to determine drivers and credit reports impact.
• Interact with outside counsel and consultants as needed.
• Manage the credit transactions process from approval through to systems entry.
• Prepare, review and negotiate loan documents, forbearance, guarantees, and security documents.
• Structure workout strategies and negotiate with clients.
• Monitor collateral and financial covenant compliance.
• Implement risk management and compliance procedures.
• Contribute to development of credit evaluation methodology.
• Maintain client records and portfolio documentation.
• Deal with large credit exposures and complex derivatives.
• Demonstrate emotional intelligence under pressure.
