Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Special Assets Portfolio Manager II to oversee a portfolio of complex, high-risk banking relationships. You will review financial statements, monitor collateral, and prepare approval memos for renewals and forbearance agreements.

You will work with Credit Analysts and SAG Relationship Managers to ensure accurate financial analysis, risk assessment, and compliant documentation across multiple transactions and forbearance actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6 years of credit analysis/loan review experience in banking or related fields.
• Strong analytical and written/spoken communication skills; proficient in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex, stressed banking relationships and prepare credit memos.
• Underwrite renewals, changes in terms, and forbearance agreements.
• Monitor loan payments, past dues, collateral, and maturities; coordinate with Workout Officers.
• Assist in ALSR reporting and loan documentation; ensure proper file reviews.
