Third Coast Bank seeks a dedicated Special Assets Officer in Dallas to manage a portfolio of criticized and nonperforming commercial loans, including C&I, SBA-guaranteed, and CRE credits.

You will evaluate troubled borrower relationships, develop actionable workout plans, and coordinate with SBA guaranty procedures, internal teams, and external counsel to maximize recoveries and minimize losses.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial banking or related credit experience, including troubled loans and workouts.
• Strong background in community/regional banking with SME relationships.
• Direct experience with SBA 7(a) loan servicing, liquidation, and guaranty procedures.
• Experience evaluating acquired portfolios and resolving inherited credit issues.
• Sound credit judgment balancing borrower solutions with bank risk.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple problem relationships with limited supervision.
• Equivalent experience may be considered.

Responsabilités

• Independently manage a portfolio of criticized, classified, and nonperforming commercial loans (C&I, SBA, CRE).
• Evaluate borrower relationships and develop workout strategies including restructurings and forbearance agreements.
• Coordinate with SBA guaranty purchase requests, liquidation plans, and related reporting.
• Negotiate with borrowers, guarantors, and attorneys to achieve timely resolutions.
• Coordinate outside counsel, appraisers, and liquidation vendors to manage costs and recoveries.
• Support Special Assets Committee discussions and risk rating recommendations.
