Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Thermal Engineer/Analyst to contribute to spacecraft thermal control systems within ACE. You will develop system-level transient analyses, anchor predictions to test data, and collaborate with fluid and thermal teams to ensure reliable performance.

The team supports designs for ground, launch, and orbital missions with emphasis on safety and reliability. The role includes modeling at varying maturity levels, documenting results, and advocating methods to improve

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • 8 year relevant Thermal Engineering/Analysis experience with Thermal Desktop.
  • Solid understanding of thermal fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated thermal analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with Thermal Desktop and Sinda/Fluint, including model validation and test correlation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop system-level thermal analysis models of spacecraft at varying levels of maturity and detail with minimal supervision
  • Anchoring thermal predictions to test data
  • Communicating and collaborating clearly and effectively with multiple teams both as a customer and provider of fluid and thermal data
  • Documenting your work for future reference and later refinement
  • Advocating for methods that will improve component and analysis performance and reliability
