Job summary

A space transportation company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III (Spacecraft Structures) to develop spacecraft structures and support design and analysis throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a B.S. degree in aerospace, mechanical, or civil engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include designing composite and metallic structures, leading hardware design cycles, and creating necessary documentation. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in aerospace or related structures engineering.
• Strong understanding of ASME Y14.5 and drafting techniques.
• Demonstrated experience with precision structural integration.

Responsibilities

• Own the entire hardware design cycle including conceptual design and structural testing.
• Design and develop composite and metallic structures for spacecraft.
• Create CAD, manufacturing drawings, specifications, and analysis reports.
