Job summary

A fast-growing aerospace firm in Los Angeles seeks a Spacecraft Structures Test Engineer to validate flight hardware and lead structural testing strategies. This multidisciplinary role involves working with mechanical, avionics, and production teams to ensure the spacecraft's integrity. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor’s in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience, thrive in fast-paced environments, and have strong skills in structural mechanics and test automation. Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in spacecraft, launch vehicle, or complex structural testing.
  • Background designing large-scale structural test stands or load application systems.
  • Experience with test correlation.

Responsibilities

  • Own structural test strategy and execution across components and subsystems.
  • Develop and operate fluid and pressurized systems.
  • Design and integrate data acquisition and instrumentation.

Skills

Structural mechanics fundamentals
Test automation and scripting
Experience with instrumentation and lab equipment

Education

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering field
