A leading space transportation company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer IV to develop state-of-the-art spacecraft mechanisms. The role involves participating in all aspects of the hardware lifecycle and requires strong design skills using CAD software. Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in aerospace or related mechanical engineering field.
• Experience designing and analyzing composite and metallic structures.
• Familiarity with aerospace standard structural analysis methods.

Responsibilities

• Participate in entire hardware lifecycle for moving mechanical assemblies.
• Develop and scrub requirements.
• Support configuration development and trade studies.
• Perform first-order strength and sizing calculations.
• Produce CAD and manufacturing drawings.
• Demonstrate compliance with aerospace launch standards.

Skills

Strong design and integration skills using 3-D CAD software

Ability to effectively work in a multi-discipline team

Experience with industry FEA/FEM tools

Drive for independent learning

Education

B.S. degree in aerospace or mechanical
