Job summary

Blue Origin in Colorado is seeking an experienced structural analyst for spacecraft structures. You will develop and validate FE models, analyze load paths from concept to hardware, and ensure designs meet safety, cost, and schedule requirements in the Lunar Transportation program.

The role requires a B.S. in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering and 8+ years of experience with Nastran/Ansys/Abaqus, dynamic analysis, and hands-on verification.

Qualifications

  • Requires B.S. in mechanical, aerospace or civil engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in structural analysis.
  • Strong foundation in static/dynamic fundamentals.
  • Experience with spacecraft/aircraft structures and loads.
  • Proficiency with FEA tools (Nastran/Ansys/Abaqus).
  • Ability to solve static/dynamic problems using physics-based methods.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of load path from conceptual to drawing release and hardware creation.
  • Analysis of primary and secondary spacecraft structures.
  • Integration of structural analysis with loads and dynamics environments.
  • FE Model development, refinement, validation, and correlation to tests.
  • Strength checks and analysis report generation.
  • Test and verification plan and report generation.
  • Support configuration development and trade studies.
