Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle is seeking a senior spacecraft structural engineer to lead analysis of loads, dynamic response, and structural integrity for lunar transportation hardware. You will develop FE models, validate results, and support design decisions for safe human spaceflight.

The role requires 8+ years of experience in aerospace structural analysis, proficiency with Nastran/Ansys/Abaqus, and familiarity with Creo Parametric.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in mechanical, aerospace or civil engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in structural analysis or related field.
  • Strong foundation in structural static/dynamic fundamentals.
  • Passion for spacecraft structural/environmental loads development/validation.
  • Experience with loads, vibro-acoustic and thermal analyses; proficiency with major FEA tools.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of load path from conceptual to drawing release and hardware creation.
  • Analysis of primary and secondary spacecraft structures.
  • Integration of structural analysis with loads and dynamics environments.
  • Finite Element Model development, refinement, validation, and correlation to tests.
  • Strength checks and analysis report generation.
  • Test and verification plan and report generation.
  • Support configuration development and trade studies.
