Job summary

Blue Origin in Colorado is seeking a Senior Structural Analyst to lead static and dynamic analysis for lunar spacecraft structures. You will apply physics-based methods, run FEM tools, and generate validation reports while supporting design trades and test plans.

Experience with ANSYS Workbench or NASTRAN is preferred; a B.S. in engineering or physics and 10+ years in aerospace structural analysis are required. Join a mission-driven team advancing spaceflight safely.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering or physics.
  • 10+ years structural analysis experience in aerospace, energy or transportation.
  • Ability to solve static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based analytical methods, such as hand calcs, in-house tools, and commercial analytical tools.
  • Experience with FEM software (preference: ANSYS Workbench, NASTRAN)

Responsibilities

  • Analysis from concept to drawing release of fluid and/or pressurized systems designed for Lunar spacecraft applications
  • Closed-form and Finite Element analyzes development, refinement, validation, and correlation to tests
  • Strength checks and analysis report generation.
  • Test and verification plan and report generation.
  • Support configuration development and trade studies.
  • Process and tool development.
