Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Spacecraft GNC Engineer I with a Secret clearance to lead GNC and ADCS development for our growing fleet of spacecraft. You will collaborate across Systems, Avionics, Flight Software, and Mission Operations to ensure mission success, while coordinating with customers and partners on program requirements.

The role requires a BS in a relevant field and 5+ years in GNC/ADCS, with a strong background in flight software, modeling, and simulations.

Qualifications

• BS + 5+ years in GNC/ADCS.
• Active Secret clearance; ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Experience interfacing with aerospace customers (commercial or government).
• U.S. citizenship required for program access.

Responsibilities

• Lead GNC/ADCS development for diverse spacecraft missions.
• Design flight software, algorithms, and simulations.
• Develop spacecraft autonomy tools for constellation management.
• Define fault detection and response.
• Work with Systems, Avionics, Flight Software, Mission Operations teams.
