Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Principal Spacecraft GNC Engineer with Secret Clearance to lead GNC/ADCS development across our spacecraft fleet. You will oversee concept, algorithm development, flight software implementation, subsystem requirements, and I&T from design to test.

You will mentor a team, define fault detection, coordinate with Denver and New Zealand teams, and engage with customers to ensure mission success. Base pay is listed with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• B.S. and 12+ years of GNC/ADCS experience.
• Active Secret clearance; ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Experience interfacing with aerospace customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead GNC design, modeling, and analysis for diverse spacecraft missions.
• Define fault detection and response; develop flight software and simulations.
• Coordinate with Denver, Colorado and New Zealand teams to plan schedules and milestones.
