Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA seeks a Senior Spacecraft GNC Engineer II to lead GNC/ADCS development for a growing fleet. You’ll manage design, software, and test across a wide range of missions and interface with customers to ensure mission success.

The role requires a BS in engineering with 8+ years in GNC/ADCS, U.S. citizenship, and collaboration with Systems, Avionics, and Flight Software teams. Base salary is competitive with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with 8+ years in GNC/ADCS or equivalent experience.
• Experience interfacing with aerospace customers (commercial or government).
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Mentor a team responsible for GNC design, modeling, and analysis across missions (LEO, MEO, GEO, Lunar, Interplanetary, Reentry, RPOD).
• Design of flight software, algorithms, and simulation products.
• Develop spacecraft autonomy tools for constellation management.
