Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Spacecraft GNC Engineer I/II to lead GNC/ADCS development for a growing fleet of spacecraft based in Littleton, CO. You will work across the engineering lifecycle—concept, flight software, and I&T—interacting with customers to ensure mission success.

This role offers growth across I and II levels, with collaboration across Systems, Avionics, and Mission Operations, and close coordination with teams in Long Beach and New Zealand. Candidates must be U.S. citizens.

Qualifications

• BS in GNC/ADCS with relevant experience; ability to interface with aerospace customers.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements.
• Experience with spacecraft GNC concepts and ADCS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design flight software, algorithms, and simulation products for spacecraft.
• Develop autonomy tools for constellation management and mission planning.
• GNC component selection and subsystem design, including tests.
• Define fault detection and response strategies.
• Coordinate with Systems, Avionics, Flight Software, Mission Operations teams.
