Rocket Lab USA in Long Beach, CA, seeks a Senior Spacecraft GNC Engineer II to lead GNC/ADCS development for a growing spacecraft fleet. You will handle concept design, flight software, and subsystem integration, interfacing with Systems, Avionics, and Mission Operations to ensure mission success.

The position requires a BS in engineering with 8+ years in GNC/ADCS, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to work with cross‑functional teams across locations including Denver and New Zealand.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering with 8+ years in GNC/ADCS
• Experience interfacing with aerospace customers (commercial/government)
• U.S. citizenship required for program compliance

Responsibilities

• Lead GNC design, modeling and analysis for diverse missions (LEO, MEO, GEO, Lunar, Interplanetary)
• Design flight software, algorithms and simulation products
• Develop spacecraft autonomy tools for constellation management
• Select GNC components and design subsystems
• Develop and execute test processes
• Coordinate with program managers to plan schedules and milestones
