Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. in Playa Vista, CA, seeks a seasoned Spacecraft GNC Engineer to lead the GNC design across hardware and software to meet attitude, knowledge, and stability requirements of our satellite bus.

You will approach a clean-sheet design and inform trades across vehicle architecture. You will develop GNC algorithms, perform simulations, test control systems, and collaborate with spacecraft and software teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance for mission

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in aerospace/electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in GNC for satellite/aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of spacecraft dynamics and control theory.
• Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB, Python for simulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement GNC algorithms for attitude/orbit determination and control.
• Analyze spacecraft dynamics and perform simulations to assess performance.
• Design and test GNC hardware (sensors/actuators) and software for integration.
• Collaborate with payload and software teams to ensure system compatibility.
• Perform trade studies on GNC configurations considering power, mass, and cost.
• Develop and execute GNC test plans and diagnose anomalies.
• Stay current with industry advances in GNC technologies.
