Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is hiring a Spacecraft GNC Engineer (Early) to design and integrate the GNC system for our satellite bus. You will work with hardware and software to meet attitude, knowledge, and stability requirements, exploring clean-sheet design options and cross-team collaboration.

You will develop algorithms, perform simulations, and test hardware like reaction wheels and thrusters while aligning with industry standards and ongoing innovations in GNC technology.

Qualifications

• U.S. Person status required to access export controlled data.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1+ years as a GNC Engineer in aerospace requested.
• Strong knowledge of spacecraft dynamics, orbital mechanics and control theory.
• Experience with C/C++, MATLAB, Python and numerical simulation.
• Familiar with sensors, actuators and CCSDS/ECSS standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement GNC algorithms for satellite systems, including attitude and orbit control.
• Analyze spacecraft dynamics and run simulations to evaluate performance and stability.
• Design, test and integrate control systems with hardware like reaction wheels and thrusters.
• Collaborate with payload and software teams to ensure system compatibility.
• Conduct trade studies on GNC configurations considering mass, power and cost.
