Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Spacecraft/Payload Control Systems Analyst (MTS/Senior MTS) in El Segundo. You will support technical oversight across program lifecycles from concept to operations, focusing on attitude control and payload pointing.

Minimum requirements include a master’s in engineering or CS, strong control/dynamics background, Python/MATLAB, C/C++, and eligibility for DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Eng., Computer Science, or related field.
• Graduate coursework or hands-on experience in control system design/analysis or estimation theory.
• 1+ years experience in developing control/dynamics simulations.
• Proficiency with Python and/or MATLAB/Simulink.
• Working knowledge of C/C++.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance (U.S. citizenship).

Responsibilities

• Participate in design, simulation, analysis, and evaluation of spacecraft and payload control systems across diverse programs.
• Support concept development, trade studies, source selections, requirements analyses, and risk assessments.
• Communicate technical results clearly to government customers and contractors.
• Research, develop, and document new analysis tools and techniques.
• Engage with experts to advance state-of-the-art technical analysis.
