Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Space Vehicle Chief Engineer (Level 7) in Redondo Beach, CA. The role leads all vehicle engineering, directing a multi-disciplinary team and ensuring performance, cost, and schedule targets are met.

The successful candidate will serve as the program's technical authority, mentor engineers, and collaborate with customers to define and validate requirements. A Top Secret/SCI clearance is required, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 16+ years of relevant experience.
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading engineering teams/organizations.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development and direction of all vehicle engineering on the program.
• Advise the program manager and serve as primary technical POC to the customer.
• Lead technical execution for complex programs with multi-disciplinary integration.
• Mentor and guide other engineers and technical staff.
• Develop and present technical solutions to senior leadership and the customer.
