Job summary

Aurex is seeking a Space Vehicle Architect/Engineer to lead systems engineering across advanced space programs. You will shape architectures, drive integration, and ensure mission success throughout the lifecycle, collaborating with government and contractor teams to align technical and schedule objectives.

The role requires leadership across architecture development, requirements definition, and test execution, with DoD process compliance and risk mitigation as core responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in space vehicle systems engineering, planning, integration, and testing.
• 7+ years in risk and opportunity management.
• 3+ years supporting major DoD reviews (SRR/SDR/SFR/PDR/CDR/TRR/FCA/SVR/MRR/PCA).
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science.
• 10+ years in space vehicle systems engineering, planning, integration, and testing.
• Experience with Confluence or Jira.
• Experience designing antennas, transmitters, or receivers for payloads.
• Knowledge of DoD systems engineering, test, and production practices.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture development, requirements definition, integration planning, and test execution for space vehicles.
• Coordinate major program reviews and ensure technical readiness per DoD processes.
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate program risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with government and contractor teams to align technical and schedule goals.
• Verify requirements, validate systems, and ensure payloads and ground interfaces integrate.
