L3Harris Technologies is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Space Systems team in Fort Wayne, IN. This on-site role focuses on developing software used for integration, test, and operational readiness of deliverable hardware.

The ideal candidate has strong C++, C, and Python skills and experience in mission-critical environments. Collaboration across engineering teams and the ability to obtain a security clearance are required. This role is on-site with the 9/80 schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field; 2+ years of related exp.
• 1+ year in one or more programming languages such as C++, Python, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Participate in full software development lifecycle to create software solutions for integration and test of complex hardware.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, document, and refine software requirements and designs.
• Design, implement, review, integrate, and test software across Windows and Linux using C++, C, XML, and Python.
• Support hardware integration and test activities, including debugging, defect resolution, and performance improvements.
• Apply software engineering best practices and DevOps processes for reliable solutions.
• Leverage automation and AI-enabled tools to improve productivity and software reliability.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required.
