Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Principal Project Engineer to lead project engineering across all development phases for external customers and internal initiatives. You will oversee budgets, schedules, risks, and cross-functional coordination with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.

The ideal candidate has aerospace systems experience, strong communication skills, and a track record of delivering complex programs on time and within budgets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in a relevant engineering field from an accredited university.
• 8+ years of industry experience in engineering or project roles.
• Experience with aerospace systems engineering processes from concept to production.
• Proficiency with MS Project and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Develop project schedules, budgets, and risks; report to leadership.
• Coordinate activities across teams and ensure proper resourcing.
• Present engineering design reviews and status reports to customers and exec team; participate in proposals.
