Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a disciplined Systems Engineer to derive, analyze, and manage system-level requirements for space-qualified platforms. You will establish hardware and software interfaces between payloads and space vehicles, maintaining end-to-end traceability to customer requirements and CONOPS.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to refine requirements, plan verification activities, and support system integration and verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in a technical field with 5–8 years of relevant experience (or MSc with 3–6 years, PhD with 0–3).
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles and lifecycle.
• Experience developing, managing, and verifying system and subsystem requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer, mission, and system-level requirements and decompose into verifiable requirements.
• Define and manage hardware, software, electrical, mechanical, and data interfaces.
• Ensure requirements traceability to customer requirements, architecture, and CONOPS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements for completeness and manufacturability.
• Develop verification strategies and acceptance criteria aligned with program requirements.
• Plan and support system integration, verification activities, and engineering change control.
