Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) in Acton, MA, is seeking a Project Engineer to lead engineering and development of cutting-edge products. You will oversee engineering teams and coordinate with the Senior Manager of Project Engineering to drive design, verification, and deployment across complex programs.

The role emphasizes leadership, scheduling, and milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) with cross-functional collaboration and proactive customer interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with extensive engineering experience.
• Proven track record leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams and programs.
• Strong grasp of systems engineering processes and project management.
• Ability to obtain/maintain security clearance; relevant DoD environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering development plans and lead execution with the Chief Engineer and PM.
• Manage technical resources and staffing across a cross-functional team.
• Contribute to IMS/ PMP alignment, cost, schedule, and performance commitments.
• Provide regular updates to PMO and senior leadership on progress.
• Represent engineering during reviews and interface with customers on contracts.
