Job summary

Redwire Space NV is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in Goleta, CA to join the Systems and Test Engineering team. You will work on requirements management, verification planning, and test campaigns for satellite subsystems.

The role focuses on verification, cross-functional coordination, and leading technical reviews across a range of space hardware projects. A STEM degree with several years of experience and U.S. citizenship or permanent residency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 3+ years.
• Strong foundation in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, or systems engineering.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Visa sponsorship not available).

Responsibilities

• Serve as Lead S&T Engineer on satellite subsystems and components.
• Perform requirements management and verification planning.
• Create and maintain verification matrices.
• Lead content for SRR and TRR reviews.
• Communicate requirements to design, analysis, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Develop program-level verification plans across cross-functional teams.
• Create solar array test plans and qualification campaigns.
• Manage systems engineering docs (Specs, SOWs, SDRLs, Test Plans/Procedures/Reports).
• Support hardware integration and testing at multiple assembly levels.
• Evaluate data, assess compliance, and produce verification reports.
• Act as tech contact for external/offsite test facilities.
• Perform EEE component selection, derating, lifetime, and failure analysis.
• Conduct reliability, FMECA, lifecycle, and PMPL analyses.
• Coordinate radiation analysis and tests.
• Prepare technical reviews for management and customers.
• Collaborate with PM on risk, schedule, and verification status.
