Job summary

Redwire is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Systems and Test Engineering team in Goleta, CA. You will lead requirements management, verification planning, and test campaigns for satellite subsystems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions for government and commercial space customers.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in STEM systems engineering, experience with verification methods, and a strong background in spacecraft hardware, MATLAB/Python data analysis,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years.
• Experience in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, or systems engineering.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Visa sponsorship not available).

Responsibilities

• Act as the Lead S&T Engineer on a project team for satellite subsystems and components.
• Perform Requirements and Verification Management, including customer collaboration, requirements decomposition and flowdown.
• Create and maintain verification matrices (Requirements Verification Compliance Matrices).
• Lead technical content and present at SRR and TRR.
• Communicate decomposed requirements to team functional roles.
• Develop program-level verification plans and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Develop solar array subassembly acceptance and qualification test plans.
• Manage Systems Engineering documentation including Specs, SOWs, SDRLs, Test Plans, Procedures, and Reports.
• Support hardware integration and testing across levels; evaluate data and generate reports.
• Serve as technical POC for external/offsite test facilities.
• Conduct reliability, FMECA, lifecycle, PMPL analyses; radiation analysis.
