Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works Space in Kent, WA seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead interdisciplinary work across payloads and system architectures. You will design, develop, verify complex systems and ensure traceability across lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have a BS in engineering or related field, 10+ years in systems engineering, MBSE experience, and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering or related fields.
• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering.
• Experience with payload design for space applications.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.
• 15+ years in system design, functional decomposition, requirements development, analysis, verification, and validation.
• Experience with MBSE tools such as Enterprise Architecture, Cameo/MSOSA, UML/SysML, 3DX, CATIA.
• Experience mentoring and leading teams of junior and peer engineers.

Responsibilities

• Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify complex payloads and technologies.
• Analyze stakeholder needs to establish system requirements with traceability across the lifecycle.
• Conduct reviews for validation to ensure verifiability of requirements.
• Identify and control interactions across system boundaries to achieve intended capabilities.
• Define a system architecture balancing stakeholder requirements across structure and interfaces.
• Create representations of systems and use models for development and decision-making.
