Job summary

Sierra Space seeks a Chief Engineer to lead technical direction across major programs, maintaining the baseline and guiding design, development and testing of complex systems. You will adjudicate technical gaps and act as the final authority for engineering decisions.

Ideal candidates hold an active Top Secret clearance, 16+ years' multidisciplinary engineering experience, and proven ability to drive program execution in aerospace environments.

Qualifications

• Requires active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; 16+ years of experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and cross-functional collaboration across aerospace programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to major programs; maintain baseline.
• Chair Engineering Review Boards and Failure Review Boards; drive root-cause analysis.
• Translate technical strategies into executable plans and execute across programs.
• Partner with IPT Leads for work breakdown structures and milestones.
• Model and uphold company values while interacting with executive management.
