Blue Origin is hiring a Back-end Ground Software Engineer III for Lunar Permanence in Denver to help build, test, and deploy mission operations software for lunar ground systems. You will work with diverse teams to define architectures, develop prototypes, and ensure safety-critical software meets standards.

The role emphasizes full lifecycle software engineering, collaboration with frontend teams, and experience in Linux environments and CI/CD pipelines. Passion for spaceflight is essential.

Qualifications

• BS or higher degree in Software or Engineering related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proven software development in Python and/or Rust.
• A willingness to work and integrate with frontend developers and React-based frameworks.
• Experience in full lifecycle software engineering (design, implementation, verification, integration, and release).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, verify and deploy mission operations, safety-critical software systems for the Ground System.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define software requirements, architectures, and designs.
• Develop rapid prototypes to prove concepts and quantify technical risks.
• Coordinate with mission control infrastructure and engineers to plan verification and qualification.
• Integrate software components, build and run unit- and system-level tests.
