Job summary

AnySignal is developing the next generation of RF products and services for demanding space and defense missions. We’re hiring a Senior Avionics Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical design of space radios—enclosures, thermal paths, and structures that ensure operation through launch and orbit.

This hands-on role requires owning enclosure designs from concept through drawings, fabrication, and qualification, and serving as the senior technical voice while shaping the growing team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of mechanical design experience on flight hardware.
• Expert CAD with GD&T to ASME Y14.5; SolidWorks preferred.
• Thermal design for vacuum environments with test correlation.
• FEA for random vibration and shock; know when to test.
• Own environmental qualification campaigns end-to-end.
• Strong DFM for precision machining and sheet metal.
• Lead as the sole mechanical engineer and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end mechanical design of space radio enclosures and chassis.
• Design the thermal path and run vacuum thermal analyses; compare against tests.
• Perform static, modal, and random vibration FEA and manage margins; CG budgets.
• Plan environmental qualification campaigns and test fixtures for space environments.
• Select space-qualified materials, finishes, venting and contamination controls.
• Produce manufacturing-ready drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5; support fabrication.
• Collaborate with RF/PCB engineers on SWaP, mounting, shielding and grounding.
• Own mechanical interfaces with customers, bus providers and integrators.
• Lead mechanical design reviews and establish documentation standards and config control.
