Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Buyer III to lead tactical purchasing, negotiate master service agreements, and manage supplier performance across multiple programs. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to define SOWs, milestones, and ensure timely delivery while upholding compliance and cost targets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in purchasing for Buyer III role.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment to accomplish goals while managing multiple tasks.
• Strong contract negotiation skills, with experience completing negotiations with little oversight and direction.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook and Windows programs (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
• U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident or lawfully admitted into the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Create supplier selection criteria and RFPs to solicit bid responses.
• Develop Statements of Work and payment milestone schedules; hold suppliers accountable for performance.
• Negotiate NDAs, Master Service Agreements or Consulting/Professional Service Agreements.
• Manage and develop strategic suppliers.
• Evaluate processes for Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing improvements.
• Oversee Purchase Order lifecycle from requisition to payment.
• Escalate and resolve discrepancies in purchasing, delivery, invoicing and payments.
• Monitor supplier performance and conduct business reviews.
