Job summary

Sidus Space is seeking a Senior Power Systems Electrical Engineer to lead design, development, and verification of high‑reliability spacecraft electrical power systems for spaceflight missions. You will focus on power generation, storage, distribution, and protection hardware for satellite platforms.

The role is 100% onsite in Cape Canaveral, FL, with responsibilities including leading architecture, requirements, test plans, and cross‑discipline coordination to ensure mission success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; 3+ years experience or equivalent.
• Expertise in DC/DC converters, battery management, solar interfaces and power distribution hardware.
• Strong grounding/shielding knowledge for satellite/aerospace systems.
• Ability to create schematics/drawings with design tools and perform requirements flow-down.

Responsibilities

• Lead spacecraft power subsystem architecture and electrical design for satellite programs.
• Oversee power electronics, energy storage tech, fault-tolerant buses, EPS concepts.
• Mentor engineers, generate requirements, analyses, test plans and participate in reviews.
• Coordinate with systems, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and program management.
