Job summary

Sidus Space in Cape Canaveral, FL seeks a Senior Power Systems Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, and verification of high-reliability spacecraft electrical power systems for spaceflight missions. The role focuses on power generation, storage, conversion, distribution, and protection hardware for satellite platforms.

The position is 100% onsite, offering a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits program. Travel is limited, and ITAR compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with 3+ years experience.
• Proficiency in DC/DC converters, battery management, solar interfaces, and power distribution hardware.
• Strong grounding and shielding techniques for aerospace systems.
• Ability to create electrical schematics and drawings (AutoCAD or similar).
• Experience with requirements flow-down, analyses, and verification.

Responsibilities

• Lead spacecraft power subsystem architecture and electrical design for satellite programs.
• Oversee IRAD/CRAD efforts for power electronics and energy storage technologies.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements.
• Generate requirements, specifications, analyses, power budgets and test plans.
