Sidus Space in Cape Canaveral, FL seeks a Senior Power Systems Electrical Engineer to lead design, development, and verification of high‑reliability spacecraft electrical power systems for spaceflight missions. This role focuses on power generation, storage, conversion, distribution, and protection hardware for satellite platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience; upgrade possible with experience.
• Power electronics design including DC/DC converters, battery management, and solar interfaces.
• Understanding of grounding and shielding for satellite/aerospace systems.
• Ability to create electrical schematics and drawings in AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Strong requirements definition, decomposition, and interface control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead spacecraft power subsystem architecture, interface definition, and electrical design.
• Oversee IRAD/CRAD efforts for power electronics and energy storage technologies.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive process improvements.
• Develop test plans, analyses, power budgets, and participate in reviews.
• Coordinate with systems, mechanical, manufacturing, and QA teams for EPS hardware.
