True Anomaly is seeking a Principal Power Engineer to set the architecture for spacecraft electrical power across our programs. You will ensure generation, storage, and distribution of power from launch through mission end, solving hard power challenges while mentoring a growing team.

You will drive system-level design, define budgets, and lead qualification campaigns including EMI/EMC, thermal vacuum, and vibration testing, collaborating with avionics and software teams.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 12 years in electrical power systems design, with space sector experience.
• Deep expertise in solar arrays, battery technologies, charge control, DC/DC converters, and power distribution.
• Experience with spacecraft power modeling, analysis, and fault management.
• Proven track record owning power system architecture from concept to delivery.
• Strong knowledge of derating, worst-case circuit analysis, and reliability methods.

Responsabilidades

• Own the technical direction and architecture for spacecraft electrical power systems.
• Lead trade studies balancing performance, risk, cost, schedule, and SWaP.
• Drive design, analysis, and verification of power hardware from concept to on-orbit.
• Develop and own power budgets, peak tracking strategies, and fault management.
• Conduct derating analysis, worst-case circuit analysis, and FMEA for power hardware.
• Lead radiation and reliability analyses and mitigation strategies.
• Define validation approach and lead qualification campaigns (EMI/EMC, TVAC, vibration).
• Direct integration of EPS hardware with avionics, software, and harness.
• Set EPS design standards and best practices.
• Lead design reviews and represent power systems to stakeholders.
• Provide mentorship to EPS and avionics teams.
• Support hardware through production, integration, and launch.
