AscendArc is building a revolutionary satellite communications system. We seek an experienced Electrical Engineer to own power units end-to-end—from requirements through verification and acceptance—for a GEO mission.

You will design, specify, and verify power electronics, interfaces, and harnessing, while coordinating with suppliers and the spacecraft team. You will lead topology decisions, perform worst-case analyses, defend designs at reviews, and ensure radiation-tolerant, reliable components

Competenze

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years designing power electronics or analog and mixed-signal hardware.
• Hands-on board design from requirements through bring-up and test, showing what you designed.
• Unit-level ownership: own hardware from requirements through acceptance.
• Power electronics depth: switching/linear conversion, protection, current limiting, inrush, fault isolation.
• Worst-case, derating and part-stress analysis, defend results at review.

• Own assigned power units end to end — battery, solar, PCU/PPU, PDU — from requirements through verification.
• Design the electronics for units we build: distribution, switching, protection, inrush, interfaces.
• Lead topology/part selection, schematic capture, worst-case/derating analyses, support layout and bring-up.
• Own technical content for procured units: unit specs, SOWs, supplier design reviews, acceptance data.
• Own unit-level requirements and interfaces to the power chain and spacecraft, aligned with subsystem architecture.
• Select and defend space-grade EEE parts for radiation, quality and 15-year lifetime.
• Own unit verification: test objectives, procedures, data reduction, anomaly investigation.
• Support spacecraft electrical integration, grounding, EMI/EMC, harnessing through to launch.
• Provide unit-level inputs to power budget and energy balance; assist architecture trades.
• Work within the Systems Engineering baseline for requirements, interfaces and budgets.
