Job summary

Redwire Space Missions, LLC in Littleton, CO is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer (all senior levels) to design and analyze space-qualified power electronics hardware. You will work hands-on with DC/DC converters, GaN FETs, SPICE simulations, and OrCAD X for schematics while collaborating with PCB layout and validation teams.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience, plus expertise in analog circuit design, SMPS, and telemetry interfaces.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience designing electronic circuits using ECAD tools.
• Experience with analog circuit design including SMPS and GaN FETs.
• Experience with OrCAD X for schematics and collaborating with PCB layout engineers.
• Experience with SPICE-based simulation tools.
• Experience with FPGA, microcontroller, or microprocessor-based control and telemetry interfaces.
• Ability to travel up to 10% on average.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze high-efficiency DC/DC converters and power switching circuits with GaN FETs.
• Perform circuit analysis including worst-case, stability, and thermal assessments.
• Create schematics and documentation using OrCAD tool suite and manage PCB layout reviews.
• Support component selection including derating and radiation tolerance for space applications.
• Generate and maintain design docs and data packages for reviews.
• Support hardware bring-up and validation testing with spacecraft power subsystems.
• Collaborate with systems, manufacturing and test engineering for design maturity.
