Job summary

Alelo, Inc. is seeking a Space Planner to support a government client site in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on space planning, design coordination, and furniture program management throughout the asset lifecycle.

The candidate will lead with AutoCAD and IWMS to document spaces, perform site walks, and collaborate with A/E teams, vendors, and clients while ensuring compliance with federal standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Must have active HSPD-12 public trust credential.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, or Construction Management.
• 7+ years related experience delivering Architecture or Engineering professional services.
• Expert knowledge of GSA space assignment policy and BOMA space standards.
• Expert knowledge of AutoCAD and ability to read construction documents.
• Understanding OSHA and ADA requirements and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead space planning for government client sites and manage furniture programs.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure accurate space data.
• Prepare as-built drawings and update IWMS records and AutoCAD templates.
• Perform site walks to verify as-built information and changes in space configuration.
• Develop evaluations for space requests and optimize utilization.
• Communicate design meetings with clients and project teams.
