Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks a Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer for our on-site role at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA.

You will design, operate, and enhance secure on-premises infrastructure supporting our platform-as-a-service for Space Systems Command and work with Windows/Linux, virtualization, and Kubernetes in a collaborative team. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in enterprise networks, a current Secret clearance, and hands-on experience with VMware, Azure

Competenze

Active Secret clearance at time of application.
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible experience engineering and operating enterprise networks and production on-premises infrastructure.
Current DoD-approved information assurance certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
Strong hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting enterprise networking including switching, routing, firewalls, VLANs, and TCP/IP services.
Proficient administering Windows and Linux servers, including scripting and troubleshooting.
Experience with virtualization, compute, and enterprise storage; familiarity with VMware vSphere/vCenter, VMware Cloud Foundation, Azure Stack Hub, or comparable platforms.
Working knowledge of Kubernetes and container networking; diagnose workload connectivity issues.
Experience with automation, Infrastructure as Code, and configuration management (PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, or MS Config Manager).
Ability to independently resolve production issues and document solutions within a multidisciplinary team.

Mansioni

Engineer, configure, secure, and maintain on-premises networks including switching, routing, VLANs, firewalls, and secure connectivity.
Own network troubleshooting, performance optimization, and root-cause analysis.
Install, administer, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers, including patching and access controls.
Support virtualization, compute, and storage infrastructure, including VMware and Azure-based systems.
Collaborate with Kubernetes engineers to diagnose cluster networking and connectivity issues.
Implement Infrastructure as Code and automation using PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, and related tools.
Monitor infrastructure health, availability, and capacity; prevent disruptions.
Troubleshoot complex production incidents spanning networking, OS, virtualization, storage, Kubernetes, and app infra dependencies.
Apply security hardening and change management in coordination with cybersecurity teams.
Develop network diagrams, baselines, procedures, troubleshooting guides, and documentation.
Collaborate with platform engineers, cybersecurity, and stakeholders to implement integrated infrastructure solutions.
